Sweet Sweat Review – Does This Product Really Work?

What is Sweet Sweat?

Are you a fitness buff who is looking to see results at a faster rate than you currently are? That’s where Sweet Sweat comes in, a cream that is topically applied to trouble areas. It’s claimed that this can not only help you sweat the extra weight off, but it helps with muscle endurance and fatigue as well.

So is this cream really the answer to those pesky pounds that won’t go away no matter how many reps you put in? Or is it just a cream that you put on your skin and nothing more? We decided to find out if this product’s results were really as sweet as advertised.

Who makes it?

PHARMACEUTICAL_CapsulesPillsSweet Sweat is manufactured by Sports Research Corporation, which has it’s headquarters in San Pedro, California. Sports Research Corporation focuses it’s energies towards the fitness crowd, and makes like minded supplements, as well as different versions of Sweet Sweat, including a Sweet Sweat Stick. Sweet Sweat can be purchased on the company’s website, as well as from third party retailers such as Amazon.com.

How (and) does it work?

Sweet Sweat claims to work by allowing thermogenesis to take effect on the targeted areas that you want to see results in. Say you want to see the fat on your arms reduced. The user would then apply Sweet Sweat to this area before a workout. During the workout this area will begin to heat up, which helps with overall blood circulation. Even so, Sweet Sweat is marketed as being able to help with the workout overall, allowing for more energy as well as helping the muscles where the cream was applied much more efficiently.

Despite it’s marketed claims, not all users saw the results they were looking for, as much of the weight that was lost was merely water weight.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Many of the ingredients included are known to help overall skin health. These ingredients include white snow petrolatum and kosher Brazilian carnauba wax to name a couple. While the ingredients included may help with skin health, actually helping people lose weight is questionable. If you are interested in other all natural weight loss supplements, check out the top 10 list.

Ingredients
  • White snow petrolatum: A moisturizer used to prevent dry skin, as well as soften it.
  • Acai: Although commonly used in weight loss products for the antioxidants it contains, there is no scientific evidence to back up claims that this helps with weight loss.
  • Pomegranate: A red fruit that is known to help with blood vessel and heart health, as well as help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
  • Coconut oils: May help burn fat, suppress appetite and boost energy. However topically the results remain uncertain.
  • Kosher Brazilian carnauba wax: A hard wax that is commonly used in cosmetics, known to soften skin.
  • Kosher jojoba: Coming from a shrub native to Mexico, this ingredient helps widen blood vessels, as well as helps keep skin and hair from drying out. Also contains vitamins A,B,D and E.
  • Camelina: A member of the mustard family, this plant has high amounts of omega-3 fatty acid.
  • Squalane oils: Known as a skin moisturizer, this ingredient may also help reduce the risk of cancer.
  • Aloe vera extract: Known to treat skin ailments such as skin abrasions, dandruff and mild burns. When taken orally it can help lower cholesterol as well as blood sugar levels. Also known as a laxative.
  • Vitamine E: Used to boost energy levels, as well as help with muscle strength and physical endurance. Also helps with muscle breakdown post-workout.

There are no side effects from use of this product.

What’s good about it?

This product contains kosher brazilian carnauba wax, white snow petrolatum and aloe vera, which are known to help with skin health.

What’s bad about it?

While there are ingredients that are known to be healthy, such as coconut oil, acai and pomegranate, the use of these ingredients is known to be good when orally ingested. When used topically the results are not known to be especially effective in helping people lose weight.

Also unlike other weight loss products, Sweet Sweat  does not in any way suppress appetite or boost metabolism. This concerns us, as these are two key areas that weight loss products focus on that this one curiously enough leaves out.

There is no scientific evidence that proves that this product can in fact help people lose weight in an effective manner. At no point on the company’s website do they supply any studies that show that their product really is effective.  True, it can help the user lose water weight, but that is only temporary weight loss and as such this is not good for a long term plan.

Lastly it should be noted that this product is intended for people who are looking to exercise. If you think that this will help you lose weight while you sit back on your couch and do nothing, you might as well look for another product entirely.

Wrap Up

There is no doubt that Sweet Sweat is an interesting and unique product. While it may help with overall skin health, there is not enough evidence to show that it will help you lose anything but water weight.

Bottom Line:

The idea behind Sweet Sweat is intriguing, there is no doubt about that. However there is no clinical evidence to support that topically putting on the combined ingredients can in fact help you lose weight, or help with your overall workout. There are better weight loss supplements that are actually proven to be effective. As it stands, Sweet Sweat will have you sweating for sure, but helping you keep unwanted weight off in the long term it will not.

We recommend looking into more effective weight loss supplements.
