Slim Tea Review – Shocking truth about Slim Tea

What is it Slim Tea?

Coming in liquid as well as capsule form, Slim Tea claims to be full of antioxidants and that it can help boost your metabolism as well. The company’s website talks to it’s readers as if they have already become disillusioned by dietary supplements in general.  So if you are tired of laboratory made products that seem to get you nowhere, this product tries to garner your attention toward it as an alternative.

So can Slim Tea really help you reach your weight loss goals? Or are the claims mentioned merely just words, whose sole purpose is to get you to buy this product? We decided to check out if this product is the real deal.

Who makes it?

Generic-pillsSlim Tea is manufactured by SlimTea LLC, which is based out of Texas. SlimTea was founded in 1998, and claims that since then it has sold over 2,000,000 boxes and capsules to over 400,000 customers. Slim Tea can be purchased only on the company’s official website.

How (and) does it work?

Slim Tea works by boosting the metabolic rate, as well as helping the immune system. It does this through it’s key ingredient, oolong tea. Oolong tea is believed to help with weight loss, but there isn’t sufficient scientific evidence available to defend these claims. To get the desired results, users are told all they need to do is drink two cups of Slim Tea a day.

While there are many positive claims about the health benefits of oolong tea, there have been no reviews verifying that Slim Tea itself is actually effective. There are testimonials on the company’s website, however there are no other independent reviews.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

There is only one ingredient included in Slim Tea. This is very unlike other dietary supplements that may try to jam pack their product with as many different ingredients as possible. While this may sound like a good idea, all the different ingredients may end up diluting the overall effectiveness.

Ingredients

The sole ingredient in Slim Tea is oolong tea. Oolong tea has a long history of use in China. There are different varieties of it that come from different places, such as Guandong and Fujian provinces, as well as Taiwan. Oolong tea is known as a treatment a variety of ailments, including high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, eczema, tooth decay, osteoporosis, heart disease and cancer. Oolong tea also contains caffeine.

There are no side effects that come from drinking oolong tea, unless taken in excess. At five cups a day, oolong tea may cause irregular heart beat, diarrhea, headache, insomnia, ringing in the ears, heartburn, dizziness, tremors, confusion and convulsions. It is for this reason that only 2 cups a day of this product are recommended.

What’s good about it?

Slim Tea’s sole ingredient, oolong tea, has long been known for the positive health benefits that it’s consumption can bring to those drink it.

What’s bad about it?

weight-loss-pillsUnlike other dietary supplements that can be purchased from third party retailers either online or in stores, Slim Tea can only be purchased on the company’s official website. This can be confusing to some, as an internet search of “Slim Tea” will bring up a wide array of other similarly named products (in one case it was the same name). In the end the user may not know if they are really buying the right product.

Slim Tea also doesn’t have a very big catalog of products available. There are only 3 separate products available, which are all very similar. The difference in the products is the potency and the form it comes in. For a company that has been around for nearly 20 years, we were rather disappointed that this company has not branched out in other directions.

Lastly there is the case of the price. It costs $47 to buy the original product, which is incredibly expensive, considering you can also buy oolong tea in any supermarket for a much lower price. If it’s available for cheaper, why fork over all this money? Or for that matter, why not just buy good quality oolong tea elsewhere?

Wrap Up

There is no doubt that Slim Tea’s sole ingredient, oolong tea, is beneficial to health. However when looking at how much this product costs, it begs the question: why not just buy oolong tea somewhere else where it’s cheaper?

Bottom Line:

This product may be beneficial to your health, that is true. The sole ingredient, oolong tea, has been proven to help with a wide variety of ailments. However just because this company sells an oolong tea based product, that doesn’t mean that it’s the only place in the world you can purchase oolong tea. There are other dietary supplements available that are much cheaper than what this product is listed as. This product would have been perfect for us, had it not been for the incredibly high price. Better to get something cheaper.

We recommend looking into other dietary supplements.
