Slim Science Review – Side Effects. Is it safe for you?

What is Slim Science?

On this well developed website is the promise of weight loss thru brand new science offering potent ingredients. The makers mention how other supplement products just recycle old formulas and that the company’s scientists teamed up to make weight loss happen thru a brand new formula.

The company offers both an appetite suppressant and thermogenic supplement product. Both are said to be created by nutritionists.

With a same like Slim Science one expects results, so are there results?

Let’s extract all the information available!

Who makes it?

Bottle with falling out pillsDirect Digital LLC  is a Massachusetts company offering products in health such as the number 1 joint support over the counter. Their products are available in many retailers including GNC.

According to Ripoff Report and the Better Business Bureau there have been a total of 4 issues with the shipping and billing of this product. A review was left by a customer complaining about being charged despite the money back guarantee.

How (and) does it work?

Both the appetite suppressant and the thermogenic work in the body and mind. Dopamine receptors which regulate hunger are lit up,  while glucose isn’t stored as fat but instead used as energy. The craving for sweets is reduced, carbohydrates and fats are better absorbed and the mind is tricked into thinking it is not hungry anymore.

Their thermogenic specifically keeps the body’s metabolism high reducing fat cells and making fat cells turn into energy.

Due to the overwhelming negative experience suffered by customers online, it’s hard to know if the science behind this product is legitimate. Many have echoed the same problem of experiencing zero results online. The only unbiased review site has this product ranked incredibly low.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Currently on Amazon.com 11 out of 15 rate this product as useless and worse some say they were billed for their supposed free trial. Reputable businesses offer products with overwhelming customer support for weight loss however.

Ingredients:
  • Mucuna Pruriens Extract: Legume high in protein and fiber, it needs to be carefully treated before consuming as its toxicity is high.
  • Super CitriMax(Garcinia Cambogia Fruit Extract)(900mg Hydroxycitric Acid): Patented form of Garcinia Cambogia intended to have a high amount of HCA. It works by helping metabolise fats better.
  • Gymnema Sylvestre Extract: Used as a herbal remedy, this plant has properties that may reduce glucose creation in the liver, which in turn regulates blood sugar.
  • Satiereal Saffron Extract(Crocus Sativus): This patented form of Saffron is used to satisfy hunger and provide energy.
  • Meratrim: Combination of Mangosteen and East Indian Globe Thistle. Used to control blood sugar and enable fats to be burned off easier.
  • Razberi K: Raspberry Ketones that have been patented, intended to reduce fat intake and secondly by increasing the breakdown of sugars and starches.
Potential Side Effects:

Headaches, dehydration, diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, heartburn, seizures and other long term effects are unknown.

What’s good about it?

Widely available in stores. Company offers a description for most of their ingredient as well.

What’s bad about it?

pills_on_spoonThe product is expensive at $59.99 per bottle and the money back guarantee has come into question according to customers. There have been yet to be solved issues with customers claiming they would remove their negative reviews online only if they gained their money back. The company states it gives a free trial however many have said this is not true.

The price tag is just for one bottle of either the thermogenic or appetite reducing formula. Having to combine these products at 3 pills a day also makes it a lot to take in at once. It’s expensive considering that most of the ingredients are patented by another company. It’s unclear what the benefit is of taking this product directly.

Also though the product is said to contain studies; these studies are self administered by companies who have a stake in positive results. This doesn’t mean there will be bias but by looking at the outside unbiased reviews the feedback is overwhelmingly negative.

Wrap Up

Armed with a high price tag, unsuccessful  results by many customers, uncertainty of a money back guarantee and small amount of ingredients for the price. All this is problematic and does not allow for a ease of use by potential customers. The website offers a clean and seemingly new introduction to a supplement but most of these ingredients have been patented by older companies. The studies performed seemed to provide results, but this was handled by companies who sell the ingredients.

Bottom Line:

There’s science in the name of this product, and science is exactly what is lacking. Real results from tried and true supplements can give you the tools needed for legitimate fat loss.

Companies should be highly reviewed before even considering intake into your body. These customer supported products exist and you can witness people who have gained positive weight loss benefits.
