Semenax Review: Is It Safe?

Semenax is a male enhancement supplement that is specifically designed to help improve the quality and quantity of its users’ semen. It’s advertising claims that it can make men’s sperm more mobile and longer lived, and even that it may help some men deal with infertility.

They say that it also has benefits for libido levels, erectile function, and orgasm intensity. It may also help men avoid premature ejaculation and give them greater control over their orgasms in general.

The dietary supplement that has shown the most effectiveness for male enhancement and sexual performance is Viritenz. Their users often see across-the-board improvement in sexual performance, including arousal level and erectile size. Click here to learn more about all of the ways that Viritenz can benefit men’s sexual performance.

Who Makes It?

Semenax is one of the many sexually-oriented dietary supplements produced by Leading Edge Marketing. Leading Edge Marketing, also sometimes listed as Leading Edge Health or Leading Edge Herbals, is notorious within the supplements industry both for their low-quality products and for their unscrupulous business practices.

The most infamous incidents with leading edge have been the times that their products have been found to contain unlisted ingredients. The FDA, New Zealand’s MedSafe, and health Canada have all cited Leading Edge for including the Viagra knock-off sulfoaildenafil in their male enhancement products.

Sulfoaildenafil is a less effective, more dangerous version of sildenafil and it has led to the deaths of several men who did not realize that they were taking it. Semenax is not one of the products that the controlled substance was found in.

The other business practice that they continue to use, despite its dishonesty, is a common online scam called the “Free Trial Offer.” Unwitting customers believe that they are signing up to receive a free sample of a product and are obligated to pay for only its shipping and handling, when in actuality they are signing up for a program that automatically charges them between $89.99 and $99.99 per month.

They do not notify users of the charges, and many customers pay hundreds of dollars before they catch on to what’s happening. Then, when they try to stop the payments, Leading Edge assesses them more charges as a cancelation fee.

They have very poor scores for their business with outside review agencies, including Amazon, where the most frequent score that their products have received from past users is one star. They have been found by Fakespot, an online review engine, to have a number of fake reviews up for their products, possibly as many as 20% of them.

How (and) Does It Work?

Usually the way that semen enhancing products work is by increasing users’ testosterone levels, which in turn stimulates semen production. The ingredients for Semenax, however, are not generally associated with boosting testosterone.

They do use L-Arginine, which has some pro-testosterone qualities, and they include some of the basic vitamins and minerals that are used by the body for testosterone production, however most of their ingredients are unproven herbs that are not specifically related to testosterone production.

What’s Inside of It and Are There Side Effects?

Rather than providing their complete nutrition information, Semenax instead only highlights several of their key ingredients. The issue with this is that there may be other ingredients in their blend that they aren’t publicizing, and that there is no relevant dosage information.

Companies don’t usually try to hide the healthy, effective ingredients that they use in their blends. Instead, the ones that they tend to obscure are things like low grade stimulants and ingredients that may have long-term health consequences for their users – any additives that might turn off consumers if they knew about their presence.

The dosage information is important to know, especially for a blend that has both highly useful ingredients, like L-Arginine, and potentially dangerous ones, like horny goat weed. It is impossible to tell if there is enough of the good ingredients as to be effective and low enough doses of the others so as to be safe.

The ingredients listed on their website are:

L-Arginine: An effective male enhancement supplement ingredient that can benefit both circulatory function and testosterone levels. It is highly recommended by our team of experts.

Horny Goat Weed: An herb also known as epimedium that is often found in cheap, over the counter aphrodisiacs and male enhancement products. Horny goat weed is not thought to be effective for testosterone production at all, however it can have some benefits for erectile function.

There are some health concerns related to horny goat weed usage. It is a stimulant that can potentially have a negative impact on heart health, blood pressure levels, and has led to heart attacks and strokes in some past users. It is especially worrisome that there is no dosage information about it provided in their promotional materials.

Maca: An herb that has been used by humans as far back as the ancient Incans to increase sexual potency. It is thought that maca, although it does not affect testosterone production, may be able to benefit seminal output.

Cranberry Extract: Nutrients taken directly from the common fruit. Cranberry is generally considered healthy and may be high in antioxidants, however there is no reason to think that it can improve sexual function in any way.

Swedish Flower: A blend of pollens collected from different flowers. There is also no data that suggests that flower pollen can help with testosterone function, semen production, circulation improvement, or any other bodily function that may benefit men sexually.

What’s Good About It?

L-Arginine is one of the most respected male enhancement products in the industry, as is maca root. Both have been shown to be beneficial for erectile function, semen production, and numerous other significant factors in sexual improvement.

What’s Bad About It?

It is never a good sign when a company does not want to disclose all of their ingredients. It is impossible to speculate why they did not choose to publish their ingredients list, however that should always be taken as a warning sign that the company themselves is not proud of their product.

It is especially an issue that they hide their nutrition information when they are also using additives like horny goat weed that can be dangerous in higher quantities. Our team does not tend to recommend any product that uses horny goat weed, let alone when it is not known how much users may be ingesting.

The strangest thing about Semenax is that it does not even seem like it could be that effective in increasing semen production. The vast majority of male enhancement supplements with a testosterone boosting component will be more successful in improving semen quantity and quality.

Wrap Up:

Semenax is a male enhancement supplement that claims to be specifically concerned with improving the quality of male ejaculate, however they only have a couple ingredients that are related to that function. They also have a number of ingredients that are geared toward erectile function and not semen quality, although some of these are considered dangerous and not even particularly effective.

They are produced by Leading Edge Health, one of the less respected companies in the supplements and male enhancement industries, according to our experts. They have previously been in legal trouble for using illegal and unlisted ingredients, and they have poor scores with nearly every outside review organization that has covered them.

Bottom Line

Our team cannot recommend Semenax to our users as either a male enhancement supplement in general or a semen production booster specifically. Compared to other male enhancement brands Semenax is ineffective and mildly dangerous, and it does not seem like it can increase semen production any more than even average quality testosterone boosters.

Leading Edge and their affiliate brands are not considered reputable manufacturers, and our readers are encouraged to stay away from all of their products, especially any that claim to have a “Free Trial Offer.” Users will not have a hard time finding semen production boosters that are more effective than Semenax.

The male enhancement product that has shown the most benefit to their users’ sexual health overall, including in terms of ejaculation effectiveness, is Viritenz. It has a potent ingredients blend that boosts both testosterone production and testosterone processing, helping increase overall hormone effectiveness dramatically.

Their ingredients blend includes L-Arginine and maca, as well as tribulus terrestris, tongkat ali, and a selection of other highly rated components. Click here to see the full nutrition information panel for Viritenz, with dosage information included.
