Claiming to have a medical certification that proves that it can help reduce fat intake and also shed some pounds, Proactol XS hits the market telling people that it binds to fat to make results possible. It does this by being using fibers that are too big to be absorbed, which bind themselves to fat.

The company claims to be staffed by only the very finest nutritional, health and fitness experts that use their talent to help people become healthier. Bauer Nutrition states that they know there is no such thing as a “magic pill” and they aim to not make their products seem as such. Proactol XS may be purchased on the company’s website, as well as third party retailers such as Amazon.com.

How (and) does it work?

It’s when fat enters the body that Proactol XS starts to take effect. The product interacts with the dietary facts that are already in the stomach, and acts like a soluble fiber. After this interaction Proactol XS forms a gel that binds to it bile acids as well as fat, thereby making the fat indigestible. That fat is later lost in waste. For the results to take effect, users are instructed to take 2 capsules before the main meals of the day.

Some users however have reported less than stellar results after taking this product, with people reporting no effect at all.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

The sole ingredient in Proactol XS is chitosan. This chitosan is different than the regular kind that is derived from shellfish, as this version is derived from Aspergillus niger mycelium, which claimed to be a natural fiber source. Diet pills on the top 10 list also have ingredients that are known to be naturally sourced. For people who are allergic to shellfish or who are vegetarian or vegan is would be a good alternative, or so this product is marketed as. Chitosan is known as a fiber that may help in the regulation of cholesterol.

This product is made from an all natural ingredient, as opposed to laboratory made, stimulant based diet pills that are full of side effects.

What’s bad about it?

If you visit the official website you will see that this product has a nearly flawless rating. However if you check the reviews from a third party retailer such as Amazon.com, you will see that customers thought less highly of this product. This is a trick that companies like to use; highlight the positives and pretend that the negatives don’t exist. Because of this you may get a skewed view of how effective this product is.

There have been many users who have reported no results at all from this product. Amazon.com is filled with ratings that are not higher than a 1 out of 5 stars. In addition to this, despite saying that there are over 40 studies that prove this product’s effectiveness, not one of them is supplied on the company’s website.

And that’s not even mentioning the price! The official website has this priced at just over $60, but if purchased on Amazon, the price skyrockets to a whopping $150! If buying from either source, it’s clear that you will see a very visible hole in your wallet where your hard earned money once was.

This product likes to claim that it can help people lose weight and that it has the scientific backing to prove it. Yet despite this, there are no studies provided to prove that this expensive product will do much of anything.

You shouldn’t have to spend a lot of money over a product that people have reviewed to not work. This product claims that there is a lot of scientific evidence available to back it up, but it supplies none of this. Effective diet pills don’t need to hide behind false covers. Just because this product claims to be all natural, you shouldn’t let that trick you. “Natural” doesn’t always mean “effective”. Save your money for a more effective product that actually works.
