Phenphedrine Review: Side Effects. Is it safe for you?

What is Phenphedrine?

A self described secret to attainable weight loss, Phenphedrine professes itself to also be “hardcore” and even claims a guarantee of effectiveness. These assertions are said to come about due to its fat burning and appetite reducing abilities.

Currently the product comes in a shiny red pill and in a monthly supply of 60 capsules. Depending on the quantity you are able to buy in bulk for a slight discount.  More importantly, does this product actually work?

Time to figure out if Phenphedrine does what it says.

Who makes it?

This Utah based company named NutriPharm, LLC also sells another weight loss brand featuring similar ingredients.

They currently have a “F”(lowest score) rating on the Better Business Bureau website which tracks customer support, satisfaction and overall experience.

Currently no official website exists for the company and no known history is made available.

How (and) does it work?

What the makers refer to as CART is increased in the body while NPY is reduced. NPY they refer to as stress that increases hunger, slows metabolism and reduces temperature which increases calorie absorption.

CART’s first two letters are acronymed as cocaine and amphetamine which this product claims to have similar effect. It’s unclear what the R and T stand for or why they would claim their product works like harsh drugs that are not only illegal but harmful to the body.

They do offer 3 customer testimonials and a 90 day money back guarantee. However some customers on the Better Business Bureau website have reported issues where they were charged even after returning their products within the supposed 90 day return policy.

One review website has over 13 negative experiences where customers warned of zero results and no money back return.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Not only is there caffeine and stimulants, but the makers claim it to work similar to cocaine and amphetamine. Weight loss should not come at the expense of taking a supplement modeled after illegal drugs, that’s why options exist now.

  • Thermodiamine(98% Evodiamine): Patented Evodia fruit extract high in Evodiamine, a heat increasing chemical used to facilitate thermogenesis.
  • California Poppy Seed: Taken from a California native plant with use in treating anxiety and allows for relaxation.
  • Panax Ginseng(20% Ginsenosides): A stimulant that has Ginsenosides which currently acts similar to a steroid hormone.
  • Razberi-K(Raspberry Ketones): A patented version of Raspberry Ketones that are used to reduce body fat.
  • Green Coffee Bean(50% Chlorogenic Acid): Unroasted coffee beans that have Chlorogenic Acid used for its antioxidant and slow glucose processing after meals.
  • DiCaffeine Malate: A easier on the stomach alternative to straight caffeine.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Dehydrated caffeine made easier to absorb.
  • Irvingia Gabonensis(7% Albumins): An African mango type of fruit which has Albumins ,proteins intended for proper blood volume.
  • Chromium(as Chromax chromium picolinate): Used to break down sugar, proteins and fats. Typically administered only to people with deficiencies in Chromium.

Potential Side Effects: Hyperventilation, difficulty breathing, sweating, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, dehydration, diarrhea, frequent urination, rapid heart acceleration and blood pressure, insomnia, and tremors.

What’s good about it?

Ingredient listing has some explanation and nutrition facts are made easy to read.  Discounts are offered for bulk purchase.

What’s bad about it?

PHARMACEUTICAL_CapsulesPillsTalk of this products effectiveness and ease of use are detailed by the manufacturers but customer opinions and their online footprint tells a different story.

Phenphedrines official website talks about their 90 day guarantee(many customers have reported charges on the accounts), no known side effects(caffeine and stimulants have reported side effects), and that the product is guaranteed(no clinical trials offered).

Due to the lack of company details and the customer complaints of potential scam like tactics, it’s hard to take this seriously. With so many echoing the same negatives it  becomes important to watch out for these potential threats.

Also important to note is the product’s advertising that mentions cocaine and amphetamine. It’s uncertain why they would try and cater their supplement to work similar to these drugs. The effects of these substances is something that may overwhelm many and is widely considered unsafe.

Currently a months supply of this is $69.95 with $4.95 shipping. With concern over the 90 day guarantee being void, it makes it even harder to accept this brand.

Wrap Up

Out of the all the reviews that claimed this company runs scams and does not guarantee their product, only 1 highly suspect positive review existed. Due to the amount of overwhelming negative experiences suffered there leaves little doubt as to how this product actually works. Marketing as having similar effects to illegal narcotics also adds concern. With the amount of caffeine found inside and the combination of stimulants it also can be problematic with those who have sensitivities.

Bottom Line:

Featuring a high price, virtually non existent customer support and a surplus of stimulants are some of the negative highlights. Considering all natural stimulant free weight loss is attainable, it becomes easy to see why alternatives are better suited.

Ideal body weight shouldn’t be left handled by companies that leave customers dissatisfied. A good track record, clean all natural ingredients, and customer support is obviously the right choice.

  1. Matt says:

I took Phenphedrine about 6 years ago, it worked well and I lost about 30lbs over the course of 6months; I was noticeably less hungry while taking it and I do remember during the first week having a ‘buzzed’ feeling which eventually went away.

I stopped taking it cause I meet my weight goal at the time and over the last 6 years I have tried multiple other supplements which have provided very little to no results.

I havent taken any supplements in the last year and ended up putting on a LOT more weight than I wished this winter (heaviest/biggest I’ve ever been in my life.) Being that I recall Phenphenedrine being the best weight-loss supplement I’ve ever taken, I’m going to try it again and ran across this article in my search. Figured I’d share my story.
