One XS Weight Loss Pill: Is this weight loss supplement safe and effective?

As its name clearly states, One XS is a weight loss supplement that you take once a day. It is allegedly capable of boosting your metabolism thanks to the green tea and multiple sources of caffeine in its formula. Judging from its ingredients, One XS doesn’t really seem like it’d be an effective diet pill to really help you lose weight, but it’s surprisingly received a fair amount of decent reviews. Let’s see if One XS is worth that kind of hype.

Who makes One XS?

One XS is made by Young You International. Young You is based in Tarzana, California and produces various other health supplements as well. We were pleased to learn that Young You actually provide a pretty decent amount of information on their website, such as their physical address. However, it does seem like they leave a few ingredients from their product’s label out of their product descriptions. The fact that they do not bother discussing one of One XS’ more dangerous ingredients makes us suspicious of this company.

How (and) does One XS work?

We’re always disappointed when we see that the majority of a weight loss supplement’s ingredients are nothing but sources of caffeine, which is something that One XS is guilty of. Some people believe that caffeine can boost your metabolism, but it really can’t make that much of a difference to help you lose a significant amount of weight.

One XS also contains and enzyme called L-Carnitine. While this ingredient is allegedly capable of improving the way your body makes energy out of the food you eat, there’s a lot of doubt that it can be properly absorbed from supplements.

Surprisingly, we were actually able to find some pretty good reviews of One XS that seem to be written by people who have actually lost weight using it. This actually makes us a little suspicious though, considering that One XS really doesn’t seem to have the kind of ingredients that would result in consistent or significant weight loss.

Green Tea Extract: This is basically the most popular weight loss ingredient ever. You can find it in the majority of diet pills because it can allegedly boost your metabolism.

Green Coffee Bean Extract: Another source of caffeine that is quite popular in supplements because some people believe caffeine can slightly boost your metabolism. If nothing else, it will keep you energized and alert.

Guarana: Yet another source of caffeine. One XS just kind of seems to be a caffeine pill at this point.

L-Carnitine: Finally something that seems like it really might be able to help you lose weight. This is an enzyme that helps protein and fat get to parts of your body where they can be turned into energy. Unfortunately, there’s doubt that your body can actually absorb additional enzymes just from taking a pill that contains them, and this ingredient can actually result in some pretty bad side effects that we’ll discuss later in this review.

Aloe Ferax: This is basically just a laxative used to clean out your colon. We are always unimpressed by “detoxifying” laxative ingredients because they tend to give the impression of weight loss without actually helping you in the long term.

Hoodia: Apparently this ingredient has been used as an appetite suppressant for hundreds of years.

Are there any side effects?

While its ingredients are all natural, One XS is still capable of resulting in some dangerous side effects.

An excess of L-Carnitine in your body can harden in your arteries and cause serious health issues.

One XS is very expensive. It costs more than $60 for just a one-month supply if purchased directly from Young You.
