Mulberry Trim Review: Is It Safe?

What is Mulberry Trim?

Working as a blood sugar regulator that slows the absorption of carbohydrates and sugars which in turn reduces weight.  The working ingredient is White Mulberry which has been used in Chinese  culture for thousands of years now. Their formula comes in either tablets or chewables depending on preference.

The aim behind this product is to have your blood sugar regulated enough so that you won’t give into hunger. Sounds appealing thus far but what can it actually do for you?

Let’s see what Mulberry Trim has to offer!

Who makes it?

818pillsHealthy Natural Systems has created this on top of several other supplements for mood and overall health. Currently their official website redirects back to GNC and the only thing offered is an email for their customer enquiry service.

It’s uncertain why they do not want to add descriptions of their products but it leaves third parties to provide their own marketing. This can be troubling as retailers might make claims that misrepresent the products intentions.

How (and) does it work?

By using the 1-deoxynojirimycin found in Mulberry Leaves this product is said to reduce the absorption of glucose. It slowly breaks down carbs and sugar which keeps blood sugar from spiking keeping you full for much longer.

The active ingredient has shown to be effective and similar drugs with the active compound are given to diabetes patients to control blood sugar. It also works as a antibacterial and can reduce the rate of food poisoning.

It’s important to note these studies have only been conducted on people with type 2 diabetes and healthy people have not have any studies performed on them.  Also the study of Mulberry is very limited with not enough trials conducted to fully condone use.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Featuring just one active ingredient with only 1% of 1-deoxynojirimycin featured. It’s unclear why so little of it exists inside seeing as how it is the compound that helps regulate blood sugar. More comprehensive and useful supplements are within your reach.

-White Mulberry Extract(Leaf: Morus Alba; Standardized to 1%1-deoxynojirimycin): These leaves are food for silkworms,  it has been tested on rats and diabetic patients as a way to control blood sugar though only in limited trials.

Potential SIde Effects:Upset stomach, diarrhea, gas, bloating, and indigestion. Potential for long term effects are unknown as trials were limited to 5 weeks.

What’s good about it?

Available in various retail stores  in chewable or tablet form. Also nutrition facts are clearly stated on some third party sites.

What’s bad about it?

There just isn’t enough positive things available to justify purchase.

The first noticeable fault is the total lack of a functional website for potential clients to look at. Without stated evidence from the makers how can one hold the company accountable for third party claims? It creates an unnecessary middleman who’s left to make their own conclusions about this brand. It would be safer and more trustworthy had all these grand claims come from the manufacturers.

Additionally there seems to be a small amount of the extract provided. It’s unclear if larger doses would be more beneficial or not but this speculation is brought up due to lack of disclosure from the manufacturers.

There is also the noted effect of several side effects related to the stomach. Currently this problem has yet to been solved and it’s unclear whether or not this product will further complications.

It’s important to have oversight or a guarantee which this product seems to lack. With no money back guarantee customers do not have the ability try this product without risk. Even more troubling is that the way to communicate with the makers is so far only email. By limiting interaction it leaves the company with less accountability and customers with more doubt.

While it is good to hear of the evidence provided it is slightly skewed. The effects of blood sugar were only on limited trials done on rats and diabetes patients. It remains unclear whether or not healthy people can seek change from this product.

Wrap Up

It’s unclear why the makers have left so much mystery behind this product. What is certain is that customers are left stiffed without a way to get their money back or be guaranteed of any usefulness.  Without being able to accurately gauge effectiveness behind potential changes for blood sugar regulation in healthy people ; this product fails to be accepted as a weight loss supplement.

Bottom Line:

Though this product has an interesting ingredient added it still does not justify purchase when you consider the alternatives. Established companies with working websites and featuring functional all natural ingredients are readily available.

Watching over your health should be easier than this product offers, and in fact it is. In order to maximize your weight loss potential look at the products aimed to fit your needs.
