GenF 20 Plus is a human growth hormone (HGH) production stimulator that is marketed as an anti-aging product. They make a number of claims about the effectiveness of their product including skin health, new hair growth, and sexual benefits for people of both sexes.
The GenF 20 Plus advertising says that it increases the duration of men’s erections and increases libido levels in both men and women. They also claim that it helps to improve energy levels, muscle development, and athletic performance.

Who Makes It?
GenF 20 Plus is a product of Leading Edge Health, a subsidiary of Leading Edge Marketing. Leading Edge is known as an unethical distributor of low-quality health supplements and beauty products that use a deceptive “Free Trial Offer” in order to lure in customers.
The “Free Trial Offer” is actually an enrollment form for an automatic billing program that many users are completely unaware of until after they have been charged, sometimes multiple times. Leading Edge is also known for their multiple substandard brands of face creams and male enhancement products, often marketed using similar imagery and advertising materials.
How (and) Does It Work?
Potential customers should note that GenF 20 Plus does not actually contain human growth hormone. Rather it uses ingredients that they believe help the body release the HGH that it has already generated.
Human Growth Hormone is a peptide hormone that is key to the cell growth and regeneration process, which is one of the main reasons that many distributors call HGH an “anti-aging” product. These claims tend to be exaggerated, as there is no evidence that HGH actually leads to longer life.

Most high-quality brands tend to be very explicit about the exact contents and dosage amounts of their products in an attempt to demonstrate their potency to prospective customers.
The ingredients that are highlighted on their website are:
L-Arginine: An amino acid that has been clinically shown to raise HGH levels in its users. The link between L-Arginine and testosterone promotion is well established, making it excellent for libido levels and sexual responsiveness.

L-Glycine: A proteinogenic amino acid that is used by the brain as a neurotransmitter. The promotional materials for GenF 20 Plus claim that it can encourage the pituitary gland to secrete HGH, however this is not typically thought of as part of L-glycine’s function. They do not cite any sources or provide any links to data that validates this claim.
L-Lysine: Another amino acid that is used for protein synthesis. GenF 20 Plus’s advertising states that it can make L-Arginine ten times more effective which, if true, would make it remarkably effective for HGH production and male enhancement.
Unfortunately, like L-Glycine, GenF 20 Plus does not provide any kind of outside support for this claim, despite the fact that it is not mentioned in either the typical medical literature for L-Lysine, nor in any of the testosterone or HGH-specific resources that are available online.
All of these amino acids are generally considered safe and are rarely connected to any sort of negative side effects. Given that GenF 20 Plus does not provide an exhaustive list of their ingredients it is not possible to say that it will be safe for all users, what kind of allergy risks it may pose, or if it will interact with any specific medicines.
What’s Good About It?
L-Arginine is one of the single best ingredients for a male enhancement product to use. It provides multiple kinds of erectile aid and can contribute to libido and stamina as well.
All of the other amino acids in GenF 20 Plus, while not necessarily helpful for HGH production or sexual performance in any way, are considered useful for general biofunctionality. They are not considered risky for the vast majority of users.
What’s Bad About It?
The vast majority of GenF 20 Plus’s ingredients do not have anything to do with the advertising claims that they make about their products. HGH is a healthy, sexually helpful hormone that is highly useful for a number of biological purposes, however of all the ingredients in their blend only L-Arginine has actually been shown to improve HGH function.
