Synedrex Review: Effective or not?

What is Synedrex?

Attempting to heat up the market with it’s thermogenic agents, Synedrex has it’s marketing team focusing their energies at men and women who want to lose weight and burn fat, while still having the energy to go about their day.

But is it really as good as it says it is? Despite it’s claims, is there anything uniquely special about this product? We went ahead and decided to find out.

Who makes it?

pills-06Synedrex is manufactured by the Florida based Metabolic Nutrition, a company that has been in operation for over 25 years. Metabolic Nutrition produces a variety of other fitness supplements, intended to help people reach their maximum physical potential. Synedrex can be purchased online from the company’s website, as well as from online retailers such as Amazon.com and from stores like Walgreens.

How (and) does it work?

Synedrex works as a thermogenic agent, heating up the body’s core temperature, which as a result, is supposed to also increase the body’s metabolic rate. Synedrex also claims to help with  giving more mental focus and clarity, although these claims have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

It should also be noted that without a proper diet and exercise, the results of Synedrex may not be typical.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

Synedrex claims that it’s ingredients have been scientifically proven to be effective. Although making these claims, they are for the specific ingredients, and the things they may be added with, not the actual Synedrex product. The company’s website makes no mention if the actual Synedrex supplement itself is effective, instead opting to stay at a correlation that, if the ingredients are effective, then the product must be. This inference while sounding good, doesn’t prove anything. Synedrex contains natural ingredients, as well as synthetic ones. If you are looking for a diet pill with all natural ingredients, please read the top 10 list.

Ingredients:
  • Caffeine anhydrous: A popular ingredient in weight loss supplements, this reacts with the central nervous system and helps burn fat at a faster rate.
  • Chromium: Helps aid with weight loss, as well as building muscle. Enables use of insulin to keep blood sugar levels balanced.
  • Green tea extract: A popular ingredient in dietary supplements that is full of catechins, its effects on weight loss are questionable.
  • Garcinia Cambogia: Made popular by TV’s Dr. Oz in regards to it’s weight loss properties, it’s actual effectiveness has been proven to more linked to short term weight loss.
  • Sulbutiamine: A derivative of vitamin B1, this ingredient helps oxidize fatty acids which help burn up more fat. Also believed to help with mental focus and strength.
  • Yohimbe hydrochloride: Coming from the Yohimbe tree, this ingredient has been popular in the dietary supplement world for it’s ability to keep metabolism from slowing.
  • Niacin: Also known as vitamin B3, this ingredient helps increase “good” cholesterol levels while simultaneously lowering “bad” cholesterol levels.
  • Methylated xanthines: Also known as 1,3 dimethylamylamine, or DMAA, this is believed to help with weight loss through thermogenic methods.

Although not listed, products such as these that are high in stimulant ingredients have side effects that include: Nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, vomiting, headache, elevated heart rate and anxiety.

What’s good about it?

In addition to it’s fat burning ingredients, Synedrex also contains other necessary vitamins and minerals.

What’s bad about it?

yellow-and-red-pillsAs with other stimulant based supplements, Synedrex has a large dose of caffeine in it’s capsules (350mg). So much so in fact, that the company itself recommends that it’s users not use any other stimulant products, as personal tolerance differs between users. While good at giving a boost of energy, people with pre-existing heart conditions may want to steer clear of this product.

Even though being marketed as a product that can help with exercise, there is no mention of any diet or exercise plan to work in conjunction with using Synedrex. For an exercise supplement, isn’t this absence strange? And if the user does end up seeing results, it doesn’t end there. Some users have reported that once they stopped using Synedrex that the results began to fade, especially if diet and exercise had not been kept up.

While Synedrex claims to do a lot, it does mention on the company’s website that all of it’s positive points haven’t been verified by the FDA. This is important to take note of, as this puts into question the very validity of the product itself.

At a price of over $50, that’s asking quite a bit for a product that hasn’t even been verified in it’s effectiveness.

Wrap Up

While claiming to do a lot, including give a sustaining energy boost, none of this has been verified by the FDA. In the end what this product may very well be, is just a capsule with a high dose of caffeine and conveniently placed “y” in it’s name to make it stand out from the rest.

Bottom Line:

Much like the guy who goes to the gym to show off the fact that he goes to the gym, so to does Synedrex make promises about itself without any verification that the product is as effective as it likes to claim. With all that it claims to do, in the end this capsule based product may be nothing more than a hyped up caffeine pill with a few other things added to make it seem more legit than it really is. Don’t let this product steal all of your attention; there are other diet pills out there that may be more effective for you, possibly cheaper as well. Like the show off in the gym, remember looks aren’t everything. Sometimes reality is more hollow than meets the eye.

We recommend other diet pills that may be more effective and better for your overall health.
