Offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee, Slim Optimum seems like it should be a legitimate product. At least that is, on the surface. But with offers to “Rush my trial offer” we became a little skeptical why this product wanted users to buy it so badly, especially since the trial offer was free.

Slim Optimum claims that it can help with weight loss, boost energy as well as help with the immune system, but past that the website isn’t very clear on what else it can do. There are user testimonials and short descriptions of the ingredients, but past that more than anything the company wants you to not think and by the product. There have been reports that this is a scam. So is it? We decided to find out.

Slim Optimum makes no clear mention of who it’s manufacturer is. The closest that it gets to mentioning a manufacturer is by mentioning itself in the third person. This is a tell tale sign of a scam, as scam companies are notoriously elusive on revealing their identities, or for that matter where they are located.

While there is an explanation as to how the separate ingredients work and what the goals are, but that’s it. The official website claims that Slim Optimum will help with weight loss and boost energy levels, but there is no explanation provided as to how this will work. There isn’t even any directions provided as to how to take this product at all. All we as consumers are given, is information on ingredients. The disclaimer at the bottom doesn’t even say that the product itself works, but that the active ingredients are known to be effective.

The ingredients included in this product are about the only thing that this product has going for itself. The ingredients are known to be all natural, just like the ingredients to diet pills on the top 10 list. However there are no clinical studies provided to show that the inclusion of all these ingredients at once is indeed effective in helping with weight loss.

• Apple cider vinegar- Although this ingredient may help with weight loss, results were not substantial. Also when test subjects stopped taking the ingredient, the weight was regained.

• Kelp- Known to help with the metabolism within cells, as well as containing vitamins C and E
• Grapefruit- Known to help lower cholesterol levels, this ingredient is also known to contain vitamin C and antioxidants as well.
• Green tea- A popular ingredient in diet pills, this is known to temporarily raise the metabolic rate, as well as improve mental cognition. This is also known to be full of antioxidants.
• Hydroxycitric acid (HCA)- Contained in fruits such as garicinia cambogia, this has been touted to help with appetite suppression. Clinical studies however, have shown otherwise.

While there have been no reports of adverse effects, it should be noted that this product contains caffeine. Adverse effects from caffeine may include jitteriness, nervousness, tremors, insomnia, headache and rapid heart beat.

What’s good about it?

This product is full of ingredients that contain vitamin C, which is important for overall health. Slim Optimum also contains green tea, which is known to be effective in helping people lose weight.

What’s bad about it?

The official website is incredibly vague as to how this product works, how to take it, or any other basic facts. All the website really has, are testimonials and brief descriptions of the ingredients listed. It even states at the bottom of the page, that it’s the ingredients that may be effective, making no mention of the product itself!

There’s also no clinical data provided to prove that this product is indeed effective in living up to it’s claims. This is a bad sign, as without any of this information, we really don’t have anything to go on but the word of the product. And that word is pushing you to buy, or to try a free sample.

On this note we need to mention the negative reviews associated with this product. Many people have complained that after they sign up that they have been enrolled in an auto-shipment program that they have trouble getting out of. This is a tell tale sign of a scam at work, and it would be best if you stayed far away from this product.
