Today’s diet pill market is full of synthetic products that are full of adverse effects that can effect a user at any given point in time. Wouldn’t it be great to just get away from all that, and instead take a pill that was free of all that mess? That’s what Raspberry Slim claims to be.
Full of antioxidants and vitamins, at first glance this product seems to be perfect for anyone that is looking to get healthier. But is it actually an effective means to lose weight? Or are all these antioxidants and vitamins hiding something? We decided to check and find out.
Raspberry Slim is manufactured by Windmill Health Products, which is based out of West Caldwell, New Jersey. Windmill is known for producing a variety of other health and wellness products that it likes to boast are filled with only FDA approved ingredients. Raspberry Slim can be purchased on the company’s website, as well as 3rd party retailers, examples of which include Amazon.com and Walgreens.
The company’s website claims that the raspberry ingredients included are key in helping with weight loss. Supposedly it’s the raspberry ketones that help kill hunger pangs, as well as boost metabolism. It should also be mentioned that a healthy diet and exercise are supposed to go along with this twice a day supplement to see optimum results.
While this product has helped suppress appetite in some users, Raspberry Slim did not have this effect on everyone. One user even wrote in the comments section on Walgreens.com that he even gained weight!
Raspberry Slim contains in it various natural ingredients, making it in that sense similar to diet pills on the top 10 list. However a difference between those pills and this one, is that while all natural, most of the ingredients included are not known to be effective for weight loss. Healthy and full of antioxidants they may be, but that doesn’t mean they will help shed any weight.
There are no known side effects from taking this product.
Walgreens has this product being sold at a remarkably cheap price of $15.49 for 60 capsules. This is contrary to competitors that can charge upwards of $40 for a similar amount of pills.
While containing a lot of healthy ingredients, there is no evidence that any of what is included can in fact help with weight loss. Ingredients such as blueberry, acai and litchi fruit are full of antioxidants, but they are not known for weight loss. This is a common trick that diet pill companies like to pull; add a lot of healthy ingredients that don’t necessarily help with weight loss. But hey, they are known to be healthy, so it can’t be that bad, right?
True, there won’t be any side effects that might be seen from other products that are full of stimulants, diuretics or laxatives, which is what is supposed to be a draw for this product. And sure, you can get healthier, but again, that doesn’t mean you are losing any weight.
Even the two ingredients that are known to be used in diet pills that are in this product aren’t very effective. The green tea that comes in this product is 262.5 mg, which is much lower than the recommended daily dose of 1,200 ml. The other ingredient, raspberry ketones, while commonly used, has not been scientifically shown to be effective in weight loss.
While sounding good, there is simply not enough evidence that this is effective in helping users lose weight. At least they get antioxidants though.
Bottom Line:
Just because a diet pill contains all natural ingredients, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it can help it’s user lose weight. This product is a lesson, that no matter what a diet pill claims, it is always important to check exactly what the ingredients are and what they do. While this product may sound good, there are better diet pills on the market. If you want to get healthier in general than sure, try this product out. But if you want to lose weight, you might as well look elsewhere.
