Cellucor CLK reviews: Is it safe?

What is Cellucor CLK?

Cellucor CLK is one of several fitness supplements created and sold by Cellucor, a company responsible for several popular weight loss products currently on the market.  Cellucor claim that their CLK product is capable of helping you lose weight by suppressing your appetite and boosting your metabolism – claims made by virtually every diet pill in the weight loss industry.

Cellucor seem very confident in their ability to help you lose weight… or at least in their ability to make you think that their product is what you need. But when it comes down to it, Cellucor CLK isn’t claiming to be capable of anything that hundreds of other diet pills say they can do as well.  So let’s take a look at Cellucor’s CLK product and see why we should supposedly choose it over the competition.

Who makes it?

PillsCellucor produces their own products. They are located in Bryan, Texas and claim to be revolutionizing the weight loss industry by allegedly performing extensive research and testing on all of their products. Cellucor provides several contact links on their official website, such as a phone number, Twitter profile, email address and even a live chat.

How (and) does it work?

Cellucor CLK comes in the form of soft gels, three of which are to be taken daily. However, Cellucor also notes that users can double up to six gels per day for “maximum fat loss.”

The page of Cellucor’s website devoted to the CLK product lists four key ingredients that give the product its supposed weight loss capabilities. These ingredients help users lose weight by curbing your appetite, boosting your body’s metabolism, helping it to utilize fat and energy more efficiently.

There are positive testimonials all over Cellucor’s website, but of course these may be biased and untrustworthy. Reviews found on more reliable sites were largely mixed but many of them were very negative, written by users complaining of experiencing not only a lack of results, but some rather unpleasant side effects too.

What’s inside of it and are there any side effects?

Cellucor’s CLK formula contains four ingredients that the company refers to as the 4 pillars of a solid foundation. The first is one of the most commonly used ingredients in the history weight loss supplements, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, or CSA.  CSA was an extremely popular ingredient when it was discovered approximately ten years ago, but it has since been clinically proven to have no effect on weight loss.

The CLK formula also includes Raspberry Ketones, which Cellucor alleges will help support healthy weight loss by breaking down fat. Unfortunately, there has been no human testing and the weight loss properties of Raspberry Ketones are still unknown. CLK also contains the amino acid known as L-Carnitine Tartrate, which the company claims to be capable of helping your body turn fat into energy.

Due to the presence of Conjugated Linoleic Acid, gastrointestinal side effects may occur from using Cellucor CLK. The most popular negative review for Cellucor CLK on Amazon.com is titled “Diarrhea? Yes please!”

What’s good about it?

Cellucor offers free shipping to Cellucor members.

What’s bad about it?

None of the ingredients that make up Cellucor CLK have been proven to possess any weight loss capabilities at all. A large number of reviews of the product online describe the product yielding disappointing weight loss results and experiencing unpleasant side effects such as diarrhea. At $70 for a month’s worth of the product, Cellucor CLK isn’t cheap, either.

You can find something better on the market for the same amount of money.

Wrap up

One of many weight loss products produced and sold by Cellucor, Cellucor CLK makes many of the common weight loss promises, claiming to be capable of suppressing your appetite and boosting your metabolism to help you lose weight. Cellucor CLK is comprised of four key ingredients, none of which have been proven to possess any weight loss properties at all.  Users of Cellulor CLK have reported disappointing results and unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects.

Bottom line

Cellucor CLK makes a lot of the same promises as its peers, but does nothing to distinguish itself from the competition. It doesn’t even include a single ingredient that has had a clinically proven effect on human weight loss. With the steep price and the supposedly poor results, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to recommend Cellucor CLK. Skip the diarrhea and look for a better option.

We strongly recommend looking into other diet pills that may be more effective and better for you.
