Virectin Review: Is It Safe?

Virectin is a daily nutritional supplement that is designed to help improve men’s sexual performance. It’s a complicated blend of over 20 different herbs, amino, acids, and other chemicals that their promotional materials call an erectile enhancement aid and a sex drive booster.

Virectin’s advertising says that it works by increasing testosterone levels in its users, and by helping to improve the flow of blood to their penises. They further claim that it can also boost energy levels, sexual stamina, and help to increase the body’s natural fat burning abilities.

The male enhancement product that has shown the most improvement in its users is Viritenz. Men taking the supplement have shown extreme spikes in erectile size and rigidity, orgasm intensity, and seminal output.

Who Makes It?

Virectin is a product of Gentopia Laboratories, a supplements manufacturer that has a reputation for producing lower quality products. All of their products have “F” ratings on Fakespot, and the most frequent rating given to their products on Amazon.com is one star (their lowest possible score)

Gentopia is currently involved in a legal dispute with another male enhancement company that has accused them of willfully infringing upon their intellectual property. They have also been the subject of a number of formal complaints with consumer watchdog groups and have zero out of five stars on the site Trustwerty, who analyzes online companies’ trustworthiness.

Their products tend to be somewhat more expensive than other male enhancement products, despite the fact that they are not known for having high quality ingredients. One 90-count bottle of Virectin was selling for $56.95 on Amazon as of the date of this article’s publication.

How (and) Does It Work?

Virectin is a daily nutritional supplement that is designed to show some results immediately, however in theory it gains potency the longer that users take it. Their promotional materials claim that the two main reasons it is effective are because it improves blood flow to the penis and because it increases testosterone levels in general.

Penile blood flow is the key to achieving and maintain a quality erection. The body needs to have enough blood circulating that some of it can be safely diverted to the erectile tissue in the penis without causing any other issues for the functionality of the rest of the body.

Testosterone is the hormone that is responsible for initiating the male sexual response system. It is involved in the ability to achieve and maintain erections, to control orgasm and to prevent premature ejaculation. It helps maintain the health and mobility of the body’s sperm production, and it also has benefits for athletic performance, muscle function, and energy levels.

What’s Inside of It and Are There Side Effects?

Virectin has a very long ingredients list which includes some of the best male enhancement products currently on the market and some of the worst male enhancement products currently on the market. They also include quite a few chemicals that are not generally thought to be related to male enhancement at all, which is both ineffective and cost-inefficient.

Some of the ingredients listed on their website are:

Tribulus Fruit Extract: Chemicals taken from the inedible fruits of the puncture vine tree. Puncture vine is considered a nuisance by some, however its extracts have shown a remarkable ability to improve the brains testosterone receptivity.

L-Arginine: An amino acid that is beneficial for both erectile function and testosterone production. The fact that it is capable of improving both of those functions makes it incredibly popular in male enhancement products.

Fenugreek: A sweet-tasting Indian vegetable that has become a fad male enhancement supplement ingredient, despite the fact that there is very little data to support its usefulness. Some product manufacturers claim that it can increase testosterone production, however those claims have been thoroughly disproven.

Ginkgo Leaf Powder: A Chinese herb that is more known for its effects on memory function than for male enhancement. It may help improve circulation somewhat, however ginkgo is not generally considered an aphrodisiac.

Epimedium Herb Extract: A low-grade circulatory stimulant also known as horny goat weed. Despite its reputation as an aphrodisiac, the clinical data does not support epimedium as having any benefits beyond increasing blood flow.

Saw Palmetto: A North American tree that is rumored to be a possible solution to erectile dysfunction for some men. Saw palmetto has been shown to help shrink the prostate in some cases, which in very rare instances can have benefits for men’s sexual performance, however it may also contribute to erectile dysfunction in other cases.

The most significant side effects issues related to the ingredients in Virectin are possible issues with epimedium. In some cases, epimedium may potentially cause seizures, strokes, heart attacks and death. Most of the other ingredients in Virectin are relatively mild, with the most significant issues that they are associated with being gastrointestinal in nature.

What’s Good About It?

There are some quality ingredients in the mix for Virectin, including L-Arginine and tribulus terrestris – two of the most highly recommended male enhancement additives, according to our experts.

Tribulus is excellent for increasing the brain’s sensitivity to testosterone, and L-Arginine is helpful for increasing raw testosterone levels, which can be an effective combination. L-Arginine is also a vasodilator that can increase blood flow without forcing the heart to beat faster, unlike CNS stimulants that increase blood flow by getting the heart to work harder.

What’s Bad About It?

In addition to their high-quality ingredients, Virectin also uses quite a few other ingredients that are either useless, potentially dangerous, or both. The problem with this is that it drives up pill costs and runs the risk of causing side effects that compromise the usefulness of the overall usefulness of the supplement.

The biggest problem ingredient in their mixture is horny goat weed, a low-grade stimulant that has the potential to cause serious side effects and has even led to several deaths of past users. Our panel of experts do not recommend any product that uses epimedium in their proprietary blend.

It is also inordinately expensive compared to other products of the same type, and there are issues with the trustworthiness of their manufacturers. They have poor scores on most watchdog sites and are currently involved in a lawsuit.

Wrap Up:

Virectin uses a highly complicated ingredients blend that uses far more additives than necessary. Some of the many ingredients that they use are considered effective and are amongst the most recommended additives available to over the counter supplement manufacturers.

Other additives, however, are useless for male enhancement purposes, or worse. Saw palmetto may actually lead to erectile dysfunction, and horny goat weed is potentially dangerous and not nearly as effective as its name implies.

Customer Opinions

The most common rating for Virectin on Amazon is one star. Previous customers have had exceptionally negative things to say about their experiences with the supplement, and here is a small sample of those comments:

“I bought a bottle of Virectin and even though it didn’t seem like it was doing anything I kept taking it, even though it made me feel sweaty and anxious. I guess I need brain pills in addition to penis pills, because I took the whole bottle and didn’t even get a single boner.”

“Total waste of money. Does absolutely nothing. I ended up throwing out about half the bottle.”

“I did NOT react well to this stuff. Don’t know what it was, but it made me feel like my insides were on fire. I had like three before I gave up entirely.”

Bottom Line

It is possible that some users will have positive experiences with Virectin. They have some quality ingredients and just those alone could be enough to help men with more mild issues overcome their problems.

Other users, however, will not see any results from Virectin. They compromise their quality ingredients with other ineffective products, and the previous customers’ reports of their experiences confirm this. There is also the possibility that since they chose to make epimedium part of their blend that users could have a potentially serious negative reaction as well.

It is our team’s policy not to recommend any products that include epimedium. They also do not like the history of Gentopia Laboratories and their negative reputation with multiple objective organizations.

The most effective male enhancement product that our team has reviewed is Viritenz. It is an effective erectile aid that also helps to improve libido levels and sexual stamina.

Viritenz has applications for increasing testosterone levels, circulation rates, and energy production. Click here to see the complete nutrition information for Viritenz.
