Using bright colors and smiling faces on it’s website, Colpurex tries to entice it’s users into buying it’s product by claiming that it can not only help users lose weight, but become healthier overall. It does this by clearing out toxins and impurities in the colon.

Sounds like it can work, but is it too good to be true? We decided to go ahead and check out if this product really is as good as it claims to be.

Colpurex is manufactured by the Florida based Vitegrity. Vitegrity makes a variety of other health supplements and vitamins. Colpurex can be purchased on the company’s website.

How (and) does it work?

Colpurex claims to help cleanse it’s users bodies with a combination of ingredients that act mostly laxatives and diuretics. The company’s website claims that the reason that people may overall be feeling more lethargic and generally not 100%, is because of all the toxins that are in the body from all the subpar food and drinks that people consume. To combat this, Colpurex advertises that it can flush all this out, even add probiotics to the mix to help out with overall health.

Despite these claims, products that are similar in nature (in regards to having laxative effects) don’t always live up to the hype. Past the company’s website, there have been no user reports to show if this product really works or not, so it remains completely inconclusive.

Colpurex claims that it is filled with all natural ingredients that can help cleanse the body, and in fact, reset it to a more healthy state once all the toxins have been flushed out. Colpurex contains many ingredients that are either laxatives or diuretics to achieve this. • Cascara Sagrada: The key ingredient to Colpurex, this is a powerful laxative that may cause a drop in potassium levels, as well as dehydration.
• Psyllium seed: A laxative that may cause allergic reactions. It is recommended to take this ingredient with plenty of water, so as to prevent possible choking from the throat swelling.

While proud in listing what ingredients are in Colpurex, the company is vague on how much of each ingredient goes into their product. As such, it can’t be said for certain how effective any of the ingredients really are in . There are claims on the site that everything is scientifically proven, but there are no links to studies or anything.

Also on the note of the ingredients, another downside is that not knowing the amounts can be potentially dangerous, especially to those who are already allergic to some of the ingredients included. Knowing the amount of an ingredient being the size of a needle is one thing, but what if that amount was actually the size of a couple tablespoons? And what if the user was allergic to this ingredient? Because amounts aren’t clear, we really wouldn’t know what would happen.
