Carb Blocker Review: Is it safe for you?

What is Carb Blocker?

Carb Blocker is intended to bring down carbohydrate intake for people who want to manage (but not lose) weight but want to continue eating carbs. Due to the nature of this product the makers mention exercise and diet are essential for results.

The manufacturers are upfront and mention it may reduce calories but that it is not guaranteed. It’s currently unknown what if any changes in calories exist, so far this product only works to decrease the glycemic index threshold which in turn may regulate hunger.

Who makes it?

Isolated pills

Modere Inc, provides many everyday household and hygiene items as well as supplements. Based in Utah they were once called Neways before refreshing their marketing campaign and changing names.

The FDA targeted them twice, once for unsafe levels of a prescription drug and the other time  for selling over 100,000 bottles of a supplement containing human growth hormone. They plead guilty and were fined $500,000

How (and) does it work?

Thru the addition of White Kidney Bean Extracts blocking effects of Amylase(enzyme used to take starches and turn them to sugar), the digestive system is meant to slowly break down carbs instead of having a huge blood sugar spike. Their formula is meant to be taken before carb heavy meals.

There is mention of introducing calorie counting and exercise however, and a reduction of calories is said to be “maybe” possible.

Currently no customer, testimonials, trials or evidence is provided. They discuss a clinical trial that showed effects but they fail to provide a source.

It is important to note the makers decided to include their key ingredients into a proprietary formula and the levels of the most active ingredient are unknown.

What’s inside of it and are there side effects?

The makers leave a notice to customers that states they’ve used safe ingredients and never compromised on their products. Unfortunately the FDA seemed to disagree since they’ve had undetected and hidden growth hormone inside over 100,000 bottles. Having an unsavory history of lawsuits is not the way to do business and wholesome companies do exist to satisfy your weight loss.

Ingredients
  • White Kidney Bean Extract:Considered a starch blocker, this is taken from a fiber rich source and used for its effects on the digestive enzyme Amylase.
  • Hibiscus Flower Extract: Added to increase urine production as well as provide a natural laxative effect. The possible side effects are still awaiting further analysis.

Potential Side Effects: Flatulence, stomach cramps, heavy bloating, frequent bathroom trips diarrhea, and dehydration.

What’s good about it?

Product is stimulant free.

What’s bad about it?

818pillsThere’s still plenty of uncertainty and there’s questions that need to be answered before this can be taken seriously.

Nowhere are there clinical trials sourced yet there is a mention that trials have showed results. If the results were available it would make sense for the manufacturers to actually release that information.

Another trouble is introducing a proprietary blend. Right now this product has a mix of 2 ingredients and the levels are not known. This is important to know as hibiscus side effects are not known and customers should have the right to know.

So far this product mentions that calories may be reduced, which if the the only use for this is less of a blood sugar increase, it basically means you’re only set to gain  a little less hunger. All natural fiber has the same purpose and it has been proven to work. All the manufacturers claim it can certainly do is the same effect as any source of fiber. Fiber which can be purchased for cheaper if feeling less hungry is the only sought after effect.

Though they claim their ingredients have a long history of being top tier and clean, their past lawsuits tell a different story. The makers plead guilty on the charges brought on because they finally got caught after years of introducing human growth hormone in their products. The addition of this ingredient can have long term consequences and customers were completely unaware.

Wrap Up

Though the makers mention upfront that this product is limited in its effects, it still doesn’t make up for the shady company history of FDA intervention and their untruthful mention of supplying only the best products. Couple that with the fact the products effects can be reached thru just taking in more fiber, it still leaves a lot to be desired.

Bottom Line:

Inside this bottle is a limited effect on weight loss that has yet to been proven to actually provide any results. Limiting just carbohydrates is not a long term solution to weight loss unlike the other products in existence that are well rounded solutions.

Having a past of introducing harsh ingredients and not warning customers is a sign a company prefers profit over customer satisfaction. Avoid that by enjoying the all natural weight loss products in circulation right now.
